PUERTO VALLARTA, JALISCO, MEXICO – DECEMBER, 2025 Unknown civilian approached a Mexican Navy base located on Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue, where he unexpectedly pulled out a weapon and began threatening the personnel with it. Security protocols were immediately activated and a rapid-response unit was dispatched to the scene. However, he refused to obey their repeated orders to drop the weapon. The marines were forced to open fire.
The suspect was hit in non-life-threatening areas of the body. The marines immediately provided first aid and ensured his transport to a hospital for treatment. From there he will likely be taken straight to a detention cell until he faces a court verdict for his actions. His motive remains unknown.
