LIMA, PERU – SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 32-year-old José Manuel Estrada, a family man, was attacked by an armed gunman just as he was going to a coffee stand to buy coffee for his wife. The assassin shot him multiple times in the head, leading to his immediate death.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours in the La Victoria neighborhood near the Gamarra shopping center. Security camera footage captured the moment of the attack. Witnesses later provided the police with additional information that the perpetrators were two individuals who arrived at the scene on a motorcycle.
José was described by everyone as a man of good character, with no connection to drug trafficking or any other criminal activity. His shocked wife, who witnessed her husband’s execution up close, believes that the hitmen must have mistaken him for someone else.
Police quickly managed to apprehend both perpetrators, which is relatively rare in such cases. They were taken to a police station, where an intensive investigation continues. It is known only that both of them are foreign nationals.
