SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – MARCH 15, 2026 Police patrol observed an ongoing armed robbery at a pharmacy at the intersection of Estrada do Campo Limpo Street and Avenida Anacé. They immediately surrounded the scene and called for backup to prevent the two robbers from escaping.
The two robbers barricaded themselves inside and refused to surrender to the police. Later, a shootout occurred, during which one of the robbers was shot dead. The other later surrendered. His identity was never revealed, but it is known that he was 19 years old.
Police recovered two 9 mm pistols and a stolen motorcycle at the scene, which the robbers intended to use as a getaway vehicle. The pharmacist stated that the robbers did not demand the cash register but wanted weight-loss injection pens.
