BANGLADESH Boy playing without adult supervision came into contact with an electrical wire. 320 volts caused an immediate loss of consciousness and ignition of his body. After a few moments, he fell to the ground due to gravity. Updates on his medical condition are not available.
The incident raises questions about the safety of electrical wiring in Bangladesh, but also in other countries such as India. Similar injuries occur there quite often, as the wires are placed at a low height and in close proximity to residential buildings.
At the same time, it is a harsh reminder for all parents that small children cannot be left unsupervised. It only takes a single fraction of a second for a tragedy to happen.
