MANAUS, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – JULY 28, 2025 Accident happened in the Nova Esperança neighborhood, in the western part of Manaus, Brazil. The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, tried to avoid a pothole but fell directly under a minibus, which ran over his arm. It was nearly amputated – left hanging by just a few bits of tissue.
The video shows a heartbreaking moment when the victim realizes the consequences of the crash. In total shock, he struggles to cope with the fact that he has just lost his entire right arm.
He was taken to a local hospital, where doctors unfortunately had to proceed with a full amputation of the injured limb. No further updates on his condition have been released.
The case has sparked outrage among local residents, who say they’ve been warning about the poor condition of roads in this area for months. They also recalled the case of 29-year-old pregnant biochemist Giovana Ribeiro da Silva, who died in a traffic accident caused by a pothole just a few streets away.
