OLIVEIRA, MINAS GERAIS, BRAZIL – JUNE 10, 2025 On the BR-494 highway near the city of Oliveira, a tragic traffic accident occurred. A motorcycle carrying a young couple at high speed collided with a truck. According to some witnesses, the truck was trying to enter the main road from a side road and crossed the motorcycle’s path.
The young woman, who was likely the driver (some sources say she was 26), suffered serious injuries. She died during transport to the hospital.
Her partner (some sources say he was 30) remained conscious after the crash, but the impact tore off one of his legs, broke the other, and injured his pelvis. He was transported and hospitalized at São Judas Tadeu Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
The truck driver was not injured and declined medical treatment. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. The truck driver faces possible charges of involuntary manslaughter.
