SHAHJAHANPUR, INDIA – AUGUST, 2024 It was a shocking sight for the residents of a village near Shahjahanpur town. A crazed woman, identified only as Gayatri, brutally murdered her husband, Satyapal, in front of their house on the street there. She completely smashed his head with a brick and then dug into his brain with her hands. The neighbours watched helplessly, but no one dared to help the man. The police arrested the woman and she is currently charged with murder, but will probably be tried as mentally ill and placed in a psychiatric ward instead of prison.
People who lived with the couple on the same street said they heard the two arguing very often. However, as time went on, they found it so normal that they did not pay attention to it.
