Deadly consequences of motorbike-truck collision

BARRANQUILLA, ATLÁNTICO, COLOMBIA – AUGUST 23, 2025 On the La Virgencita bridge, connecting Barranquilla and the city of Soledad, a fatal collision occurred between a truck and a motorcyclist. According to initial reports, it appears that the motorcyclist was riding in the wrong direction for unknown reasons, which led to a head-on collision with the truck.

The consequences for the motorcyclist were fatal. The impact literally tore his body apart, with some of his internal organs thrown several feet away. He died at the scene.

Police closed the bridge to properly investigate the accident, causing massive traffic jams and several missed flights, as the bridge is one of the main routes to the airport.
