MEXICO CITY, MEXICO – MARCH 31, 2017 Combination of alcohol, the desire to impress women, and speeding claimed four lives. The driver of a white BMW lost control and, at high speed, crashed into a streetlight pole on Avenida Paseo de la Reforma.
The impact was so severe that the vehicle was almost split in half and ejected four passengers, who died on the spot. Among the victims were two men and two women. One of the victims was identified as Karla Saldana. The driver, thanks to wearing a seatbelt, survived the accident. Upon the arrival of rescuers, he was freed and transported to a hospital, where doctors managed to stabilize him.
