NOVA MARABÁ, MARABÁ, PARÁ, BRAZIL – NOVEMBER 28, 2025 Tragic incident shook the Folha 33 neighborhood in Nova Marabá, where eight-year-old Luís Miguel Milhomem lost his life. The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. right in front of the house where he lived with his family. Luís Miguel had been playing outside with other children when a truck suddenly emerged from the end of a dead-end street and struck him. The impact was so severe that he died on the spot.

The truck driver, Carlito Pereira dos Santos, was immediately detained by the Military Police. According to witnesses, he was so intoxicated that he could barely stand, and he admitted to officers that he had consumed alcohol before driving. Family members and neighbors were devastated – Luís Miguel’s grandmother stayed by his body until investigators arrived.
The area was sealed off for forensic examination to determine the exact dynamics of the accident. The case is being handled by the 21st Urban Police Precinct, and the driver is expected to face charges related to causing a fatality while under the influence of alcohol. The company that owns the truck has not yet issued a statement.
