MONTERREY, MEXICO – FEBRUARY 19, 2025 In the Miravalle district of Diaz Ordaz Boulevard, a fight broke out between two men and the driver of a city bus. The two men were father and son.
Jesús Lira, the father, said that the bus hit their car and damaged their bumper. This prompted his son, Alexis Lira, to react aggressively. They both got out of the car, with Alexis holding a shovel and trying to attack the bus driver. The bus driver responded by stepping on the accelerator and running over Alexis, who died on the spot.
The entire case is now being investigated by police, who are examining all the details to assess whether the bus driver reacted in necessary self-defense or will be charged with murder.
