SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – NOVEMBER 26, 2017 Joan Antonio Rodríguez Contreras had a brutal fight with his partner Ani Mojica Ramírez, 27, because of jealousy. He grabbed her by the hair, dragged her into the kitchen where he grabbed a knife and stabbed her to death. Her 5-year-old daughter was present at the murder.

Ani left behind a total of 3 orphaned children: a 12 year old boy and two daughters aged 7 and 5. Her boyfriend Joan was sentenced to only one year in prison for the murder.
