İZNIK, BURSA PROVINCE, TURKEY – MARCH 12, 2026 Cyclist identified as Ahmet Fidan was struck at full speed by a passenger car. He was thrown several feet into the air and sustained critical injuries, which he unfortunately succumbed to after arriving at the hospital.

The driver of the car was detained at the scene and placed in judicial custody. It is currently unknown whether the cause was merely inattention or, for example, alcohol.
