BRAZIL Technical employee of an energy company suffered a fatal accident while working on a power line pole. He was struck and burned by high-voltage electricity. When his colleagues brought him down, there was no way to help him – he was declared dead.
The incident is currently being investigated by the police as well as the company’s internal department. Their goal is to determine whether the accident was caused by an individual’s mistake or a failure to follow safety procedures at the company-wide level.
