VALLEDUPAR, CESAR, COLOMBIA – MARCH 15, 2026 At the Glorieta Los Juglares roundabout, near Balneario Hurtado in the northern part of the city, a tragic collision occurred between a motorcycle and a garbage truck. The motorcycle rider, identified as Camilo Gutiérrez Montes, sustained injuries and was hospitalized at a local medical center. His passenger, 27-year-old Dayana del Carmen Rivero Vergara, suffered a head injury incompatible with life and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities preliminarily attribute the accident to the rider’s lack of experience.
