COMAS, PERU – MARCH 23, 2025 Woman who worked as a street promoter for a clinic and lured customers inside was assassinated on the street by a contract killer. In the footage from a street camera, the killer can be seen pretending to talk on the phone while waiting for the right moment, then pulling out a gun and shooting. 31-year-old Milagros Valdiviezo was dead on the spot. During the attack, another bystander was injured and taken to the hospital, where doctors stabilized him.
As the police investigation revealed, Milagros had been regularly extorted in the weeks leading up to her death by criminals demanding so-called “cupa” (an extortion fee). She did not respond to the threats, even though just a few days before her death, the extortionists planted an improvised explosive device. It is therefore very likely that they are the ones behind her killing.
