TUPACIGUARA, MINAS GERAIS, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 19, 2025 At kilometer 69 on MGC-452, a fatal collision occurred between a detached trailer and a passenger car. The entire crew of the car died, including two children. The impact was so strong that three of them were decapitated.
All the victims in the car were family members. The car contained a 25-year-old driver, his 40-year-old mother, 22-year-old wife, 10-year-old brother, and his 2-year-old child.
According to testimonies from several witnesses, the trailer, being towed by a truck, detached on its own at high speed. The driver of the car had no chance to react, as he was driving very close behind the truck.
The truck driver feared being lynched by people because of the incident, so he didn’t stop. He continued all the way to the police station, where he turned himself in.
