Gunmen target small truck in violent ambush in Ecuador

ECUADOR – FEBRUARY 11, 2026 Two masked gunmen carried out an armed attack on a small truck. According to CCTV footage, it was not a robbery, but they acted with a clear intent to assassinate the crew. They finally succeeded – the driver and his passenger died on the spot as a result of gunshot wounds to the head.

Immediately after the crime, the perpetrators fled the scene in a white SUV with the help of an accomplice who was driving. The police are currently intensively searching for them. The motive remains unknown.
