SÃO BERNARDO DO CAMPO, SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 25, 2026 Incident occurred at the Golden Square shopping mall in the ABC Paulista area. 25-year-old Cristian Cassio Henrique Zampieri burst into the Vivara jewelry store branch where his ex-girlfriend, 22-year-old Cibelle Monteiro Alves, worked. Armed with a knife and a pistol, he came to take revenge for the end of their relationship, which he could not get over.

A sharp argument and blackmail under the threat of death occurred between them. When the police arrived at the scene, Cibelle was taken as a hostage. However, the negotiations led to no result. At one point, he started stabbing Cibelle in the neck right in front of the police, who responded by firing.
Cibelle unfortunately died as a result of her injuries. Zampieri was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound, where doctors stabilized him. He will thus face the legal consequences of femicide.
