RURÓPOLIS, PARÁ, BRAZIL – JANUARY 3, 2025 Security camera inside a grocery store on Avenida Isabel Medeiros recorded the murder of a man. Two hit men on a Bros 160 motorcycle stopped at the store, the passenger pulled out a gun and started shooting. Then they quickly drove away.
The victim was identified as Edson Neres Alves da Silva. He had a single criminal record dated 7 October 2023, when his car killed a couple (Clodoaldo Roque dos Santos and Rosângela Fraga dos Santos). He was driving a pickup truck on Highway BR-163 and hit them as they were riding their motorcycle. He fled the scene of the accident.
Although it is not clear if his murder can be linked to the incident on the BR-163 highway, it is the only investigative line available to the police.
