LOS ALCARRIZOS, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – FEBRUARY 10, 2025 Elis Bello, known by the nickname “Cuca”, who worked as a hairdresser, lost her life at the 18th kilometer of the Duarte highway in the Nuevo Amanecer area. She was fatally struck by a speeding car. Security camera footage shows that she was thrown several dozen feet away and had virtually no chance of survival. Details of the tragedy are still under investigation. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
