SANTARÉM, PARÁ, BRAZIL – JULY 13, 2023 16-year-old girl tragically lost her life after a night of heavy drinking with her friends ended in disaster. Intoxicated to the point where she could barely stand, she stumbled out of a bar and onto the road. Disoriented and unable to keep her balance, she collapsed just as a car approached.
The victim
The driver, caught off guard and unable to react in time, hit her. Emergency services responded quickly and rushed her to the hospital, but despite their efforts, she died shortly after arriving.
According to her friends, the girl had been visibly upset following a phone argument with her mother earlier that evening – apparently triggered by her drinking and failure to come home as promised.
