Hitman executes veterinarian inside his office

YUTY, CAAZAPÁ, PARAGUAY – AUGUST 1, 2025 Veterinary doctor, 35-year-old Bartolomé Vega Caballero, was shot dead by a hitman inside his office. He arrived on a motorcycle, entered the clinic, and pretended to be a regular client for a while, waiting until everyone left and he was alone with the vet. At the right moment, he surprised the veterinarian by drawing a weapon, which he placed to his head, and executed him with a close-range shot.

The public prosecutor’s office and the national police have already joined the investigation. The motive of the shooter is still unclear.
