BARANOA, ATLÁNTICO, COLOMBIA – JUNE 4, 2025 Hitman approached a Chicharrón (pork rind chips) stand in the La Cordialidad corridor, pretending to be an ordinary customer. At an unexpected moment, he drew a weapon and opened fire, first targeting the man behind the counter and then another employee working at the stand. He then fled the scene. The incident was captured on the security camera.
The first victim was identified as 23-year-old Yonis José Nieto Andrade. He suffered severe injuries and died several hours after being transported to the hospital. The identity of the second victim has not been released, but doctors reportedly managed to save his life.
The Atlántico police shortly after the attack issued a statement saying they had successfully apprehended the suspect. However, his motive has never been disclosed.
