IPATINGA, MINAS GERAIS, BRAZIL – MARCH 21, 2024 Security camera at a construction site in the Canaã neighborhood captured the attack of two hitmen on two bricklayer brothers. While one miraculously managed to escape from the scene, the other, 23-year-old Vitor Lucas de Oliveira Penha, was fatally struck.
Both bricklayers were identical twins. The surviving brother promised revenge for his brother’s death on public television, which led him into trouble with the police.
The investigation revealed that Vitor had been involved in drug trafficking in the past. However, many years ago, he distanced himself from that life and worked honestly as a bricklayer. Unfortunately, drug cartels and gangs do not forget, and it is believed that his past could have been the main motivation for the shooters.
