Home invasion ended badly for thief

CARAGUATATUBA, SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – JUNE 13, 2025 24-year-old thief broke into the house of a military police captain in the Aruan neighborhood. This woke up the entire family sleeping inside, and a physical confrontation occurred. The thief tried to seize his weapon, which, out of fear for his own life and the lives of his family, led the captain to shoot.

The intruder was shot twice and died on the spot. The case is now being investigated by the civil police and the internal affairs department of the military police, since his service weapon was used.
