VICENTE NOBLE, BARAHONA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – MARCH 28, 2025 During an argument, 50-year-old Franklin Féliz poured gasoline on his 38-year-old girlfriend, Zaony Guillermo Cuello, and set her on fire. The attack took place in front of their three daughters in the family home in the Las Canarias community.

The youngest daughter ran in panic to the neighbors for help, thanks to which Zaony was rescued in time and hospitalized. She suffered second- and third-degree burns.
Franklin fled after the attack and hid from the police but later turned himself in. He was taken into custody and faces charges of domestic violence and attempted murder.
