JAWAHRA, SONIPAT, HARYANA, INDIA – MARCH 14, 2025 Local leader of the ruling BJP party, Surendra Jawahra, was shot dead by his neighbor over a long-standing dispute concerning agricultural land. Jawahra had purchased the land from the attacker’s relatives, but the neighbor opposed the sale and repeatedly warned him not to enter the property.
On the day of the incident, a conflict broke out after Jawahra visited the disputed land. Later that evening, the neighbor followed him and shot him while he was at his shop. The entire attack was captured on security cameras. The attacker was arrested, and the case is now under judicial investigation.
