BURKINA FASO, 2025 Terrorist jihadist movement Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM), linked to the notorious Al-Qaeda, is responsible for numerous attacks on military bases in Burkina Faso. It was formed in 2017 by the merger of several smaller groups operating in Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso. Their goal is to gain control over territory, overthrow state authorities, and strictly enforce Islamic Sharia law.
The video shows one of their successful attacks on a military base. They killed dozens of soldiers and also managed to seize valuable military equipment and weapons.
