GARANHUNS, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – JULY 9, 2025 In the São Pedro neighborhood, a man identified as Alisson Ferreira, known by the nickname “Índio,” was assassinated. He was walking with his father when two armed men ambushed them and killed him with several shots from a 12-gauge shotgun.

The victim’s father attempted to flee. After running about 500 feet (50 meters) through a peanut field, he encountered more gunmen. However, his life was spared.
