PERAMBALUR, TAMIL NADU, INDIA – FEBRUARY 16, 2024 Family dispute over land escalated into a brutal attack, where a 40-year-old son assaulted his 63-year-old father. He lunged at him, smashed his face with punches, and knocked him out. Other family members managed to stop the attack. The incident was captured on a security camera.
Three months later, on April 18, the assaulted man died of a heart attack. In connection with this, the entire family filed a criminal complaint against the attacker. They claim that the heart attack was caused by stress and physical weakness resulting from his repeated assaults. If convicted, he would also lose all rights to any inheritance.
