Man died in hospital waiting room while awaiting treatment

CIDADE DE JEUS, RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – DECEMBER 13, 2024 Augusto Mota Silva, 32, presented to the hospital complaining of severe pain. But the emergency room staff misjudged his condition and kept him waiting in the waiting room. When they returned for him, they found him unresponsive and that he had died. All emergency room staff on duty that evening were fired. The exact cause of his pain and death is now under investigation.
