NINGBO, ZHEJIANG PROVINCE, CHINA – OCTOBER 18, 2025 Man ignored warning signs about the depth of the pool. He dived headfirst into its shallow part and hit his head on the bottom. This led to immediate unconsciousness and, unfortunately, subsequent drowning, even though there were people in the pool. However, none of them were able to provide effective first aid, or rather, no one even attempted to do so.
If you ever witness something similar, do not be passive. It is important to get the injured person out of the water as quickly as possible or at least keep their head above the surface so they can breathe freely. Then it is necessary to call emergency services or make noise to attract a lifeguard, who should be trained for such situations.
