Man found dead in canal

VALVERDE PROVINCE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Body of a 52-year-old man was found in an irrigation canal in the Barrero area. According to local sources, it was Modesto Marmolejos del Rosario, nicknamed “Kiko”, who was reportedly from Santiago de los Caballeros. The body was found tied with a plastic strap, which caused significant concern among residents. Police and military units arrived at the scene, and the case was taken over by investigators. The body was sent to the INACIF institute for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
