ITAMBÉ, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – AUGUST 16, 2025 In the Ana Chiquinha mango plantation in the rural area of Itambé, a man was found hanged. He was hanged from a mango tree branch and showed no signs of life when discovered. A passerby who found him called the police and did not attempt any first aid.
Police at the scene performed all necessary procedures and transported his body to the forensic institute for an autopsy. Although this appears to be a clear case of suicide, authorities must be 100% certain in every case and rule out homicide.
The results of the autopsy are not yet known. The only public information is that the victim was identified based on body markers, but his identity has not been released.
