PORTLAND, OREGON, USA – DECEMBER 28, 2024 Passengers at Portland airport (PDX) witnessed a terrible act by a desperate man. In the check-in area near the Alaska Airlines counter, he cut his wrist and throat in front of everyone.
Everyone tried verbally to stop him, but no one dared to approach the clearly mentally disturbed individual with a knife. It was only when police used a taser that they prevented him from further self-harm. Unfortunately, it was already too late. He died on the spot and was declared dead after being transported to the hospital.
The whole incident left a deep mark on many witnesses. People shared shock and trauma from the event on social media. “I’ve never seen anything like this. It’s something that stays with you forever,” said one passenger on Reddit.
