DUQUE DE CAXIAS, RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – MAY 13, 2025 Visitor of the snack bar began complaining to the staff about chest pain and trouble breathing. Suddenly, he collapsed to the ground and died shortly afterward. The emergency service that arrived at the scene couldn’t do anything other than declare him dead. Cardiac arrest was likely to blame, but this information hasn’t been confirmed by anyone.
Two lessons can be taken from the video. The first is providing first aid in such a situation. The staff of the snack bar is visibly stressed and instead of keeping a cool head, just runs around and calls for other people. That’s still better than doing nothing, but in life-or-death situations, seconds matter, and it’s necessary to immediately call emergency services and clearly describe the event and the address. Then, one must listen to the emergency operator. Most likely, cardiopulmonary resuscitation will follow.
The second lesson is more spiritual. Life is short. One moment you’re here, and the next you may not be. That’s why it’s important to live consciously and fully, not to waste time on meaningless things, to forgive, and to tell your loved ones you love them as often as possible.
