TAPACHULA, CHIAPAS, MEXICO – FEBRUARY 13, 2026 Man identified as 61-year-old Bedrein N. entered a grocery store armed with a small stabbing tool. Without hesitation, he went behind the checkout counter, where he began threatening a female shop assistant with it. However, she fought back persistently, which eventually forced him to flee. Some sources claim his motive was robbery, while others claim it was sexual.
Using the city’s camera system, police managed to track down the suspect in the Las Flores neighborhood. He was detained there after a short chase. It was found that he was under the influence of meth, and 13 doses were even found on him. Further investigation revealed that he had committed similar incidents several times in the past.
