PUNTLAND, SOMALIA – JUNE 3, 2025 Armed forces of Puntland during their anti-terrorist operation successfully eliminated more than 35 terrorists affiliated with ISIS and its branches. They had built hideouts in the local mountains between the areas of Miraale and Balade, where they lived unnoticed. A military equipment storage was also discovered.
Puntland is one of the autonomous regions of Somalia and is considered relatively stable. This is also thanks to operations like this one.
