The family’s decision to evacuate was delayed because the teenage son, Nikita, was prohibited from leaving the country under martial law. However, when a rocket landed near their home, they decided to leave Ukraine. The family’s husband went to eastern Ukraine to take care of his parents. He noticed about the death of his family only from photos that circulated on social networks.
