NICARAGUA – AUGUST 17, 2025 Fatal traffic accident occurred at the 96th kilometer of the Pan-American Highway between the towns of Sébaco and Darío. A motorcyclist traveling alone toward Sébaco attempted a dangerous maneuver, lost control, and collided with a heavy truck. The impact severed his right arm, caused multiple fractures, and inflicted severe head injuries. He died shortly afterward.
Police are currently working to identify the victim, as his motorcycle had no license plate and he carried no identification.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of following basic traffic rules and safety measures. The rider was not wearing any protective gear or a helmet, which could have significantly increased his chances of survival.
