Motorcyclist died in three-vehicle collision in Malaysia

PERAI, PENANG, MALAYSIA – AUGUST 29, 2025 At the 140th kilometer of the North-South Expressway, a collision occurred involving a truck and two motorcycles. 28-year-old motorcyclist Muhammad Syahim Rusman died at the scene from severe injuries. The second motorcyclist, whose identity has not been released, was hospitalized with moderate injuries and is currently reported to be out of life-threatening danger. The truck driver escaped unharmed.

Police are currently investigating the accident and trying to determine who is at fault. Dashcam footage from one of the uninvolved vehicles shows that the collision was preceded by dangerous overtaking by one of the motorcyclists.
