AMBERNATH, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA – NOVEMBER 21, 2025 Passenger car traveling at high speed entered oncoming traffic and successively collided with several motorcycles. The accident claimed four lives; among the victims were three motorcyclists and the car’s driver. Other people suffered serious injuries and were transported to hospitals. According to witnesses, one of the motorcyclists was thrown off the bridge after the impact.
The car belonged to a political candidate from the Shiv Sena party, who was riding as a passenger at the time of the accident and was injured. Police were investigating whether the cause of the crash was excessive speed, a medical emergency involving the driver, or another factor. Footage from cameras that appeared on social media triggered a strong public reaction in India.
