TEHRAN, IRAN – MAY 25, 2025 Elahe Hosseinnejad used a taxi vehicle to get home from work. She got in at Azadi Square, and that was the last time anyone saw her alive. Her body was found on the outskirts of Tehran several days later. It had been partially eaten by wild animals.

In connection with her death, the driver, Alireza Faghfouri, of the mentioned taxi vehicle was arrested, and he confessed to the murder. He claimed that when they stopped, he noticed that she had an expensive phone and decided to steal it. During the act, he struck her face several times with force, which led to her immediate death.
