ERUKU, KWARA STATE, NIGERIA – NOVEMBER 19, 2025 During an evening service at the Christ Apostolic Church, a brutal and well-organized attack occurred. A group of armed bandits stormed inside and began shooting. They killed three people on the spot and injured one.
The attack apparently had no political or religious motive. The bandits kidnapped 30–35 people from the church and are demanding ransom. Shortly after, SMS messages began arriving on the victims’ phones to their close family members, demanding 100 million NGN (about 67,000 USD) for the release of one hostage.
