KARACHI, PAKISTAN – JULY, 2025 32-year-old actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead on the floor of her apartment. Her body was already in an extreme state of decomposition and partially mummified. Mold was present all around her.

She was discovered by police officers and a court bailiff after they went to her apartment in the Defence Housing Authority residential area to carry out a court-ordered eviction. She had stopped paying rent at the end of 2024, which led the landlord to take legal action.
The police chief of South Karachi, Syed Asad Raza, stated that no signs of forced entry were found at the scene, which led investigators to conclude that no crime had occurred. However, the cause of death has not yet been officially determined. In cases where the body is so decomposed, that can be quite difficult.
Actress’s neighbors said they hadn’t seen her for weeks. Although they noticed a foul odor coming from her apartment, it never occurred to them to call the police.
