BARAMATI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA – JANUARY 28, 2026 Tragic plane crash claimed the life of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar along with four others. The aircraft carrying him went down in the Baramati area, and according to officials, none of the passengers had any chance of survival.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed that all five people on board, including the prominent Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) politician, died in the crash. The cause of the accident is under investigation, and authorities are working to clarify the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
