CHINA Body of a volunteer was used for teaching students of a medical faculty so they could observe the process of human body decomposition. Each of the photos was taken at a different stage of this natural process.
Although the study of decomposition may seem bizarre to some, it is actually a very important scientific discipline. Based on the findings, it is possible in forensic science to determine the time, circumstances of death, and the identification of the deceased. Understanding decomposition also helps with proper handling of bodies to prevent the spread of diseases.
