ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, 2025 This case highlights the complete failure of the legal system in Russia. A woman from St. Petersburg physically abused her own mother and daughter for many years. At the end of 2024, she broke her mother’s spine, and although the hospital treating the woman filed a report of abuse with the police, they did absolutely nothing. When the victim returned home from treatment, the attacks became even more brutal. Yet the police have still done nothing to this day.
