VIETNAM – AUGUST 30, 2025 Woman decided to put an end to domestic violence once and for all. To have evidence for the police, she set up a hidden camera in the bedroom to record her husband. The result was a shocking video that not only helped her secure proof but also revealed to the public what domestic violence looks like in its worst form.
The video is being shared with the message of opening the eyes of all women who are in or heading toward a similar situation. Victims often feel isolated because their abusive partner cuts them off from all contacts, including their own family. In public, the abuser may act like the perfect partner, but everything changes once the doors of the apartment close.
This contrast between the “perfect” public image and the reality behind closed doors is one of the main reasons why domestic violence is so hard to uncover. Domestic violence is not only about physical attacks, but also about psychological torment, humiliation, and constant intimidation.
The goal of releasing it is not only to show reality but also to give courage to other women to believe that there is a way out. That it is not necessary to endure pain and fear for a lifetime, and that help truly exists – whether through the police, hotlines, nonprofit organizations, or the support of loved ones who often have no idea what is happening.
This story is meant to be both a warning and a beacon of hope: a warning for those who may still be overlooking the first signs, and hope for those already living in abuse, that it is possible to stand up and start again.
